West Woods Christian AcademyNovember 18, 2016

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Alumni, and Friends of WWCA:

The 42nd year of WWCA is well underway. The ministry to children and Christian families is alive and thriving at WWCA. We are forging ahead and encouraged with an increase in elementary enrollment, a nearly full kindergarten class, and planned activities to keep all students engaged. Mrs. Stoll, our music teacher, has announced the Spring Musical to be a shortened version of “The Sound of Music.” The presence and testimony of Christian Education at WWCA is well known and respected. Recently, WWCA received a BEST OF HAMDEN AWARD for Education Recognition in the town of Hamden.

To God be the Glory. The need for Christian Education, with a daily, Godly environment for our children, has never been greater.

The ministry focus, which is a core value of WWCA, carries with it some inherent challenges. As with many non profits, and established educational institutions, funding the “operational gap” from outside of tuition income has become a necessity, and major contributor to the continuance of excellence. We have distributed financial assistance to families who qualified, and our tuition rates with a ministry focus are considered most reasonable and affordable. Our teachers and staff are front line WARRIORS receiving missionary pay while providing a loving and challenging influence. At these rates, tuition alone does not cover our full operating expenses. The Annual Fund and long term Endowment are the most effective alternatives for supplementing operations. You can read more of the goal and vision of these Funds online at www.wwcact.org under Donate Online.

In order to keep WWCA thriving and meet the significant operating gap, the School Board of WWCA would like to ask you to consider supporting our mission of Christian Education by giving to our Annual Fund. As evidenced by our longevity and effectiveness, the impact this school is having is huge, with positive ripple effects crossing both generational and geographic borders.

All gifts to the Annual Fund will be directly designated to meeting the operational gap for 2016-2017 school year. You may respond directly to the school by writing your tax deductible gift check to “WWCA Annual Fund” (an mailing it to the school at 2105 State Street, Hamden, CT 06517, or you may donate securely online at our website. It is efficient and safe, being used conveniently by more and more of our donors. Feel free to communicate this genuine need to those you know who may be led by God to participate.

It is the philanthropy and generosity of those who share our mission that keeps WWCA moving forward.

May God bless you and WWCA.

On Behalf of WWCA School Board,
William H. Kane
