Community service projects are planned throughout the year to help teach students the value of serving others. “Leaf It to Us” project has had a wonderful impact on our neighborhood. Students and staff take a day off from classes and rake leaves in the surrounding neighborhood. We have received numerous notes of appreciation, compliments on our students, and overall great feedback on this free service to our neighbors. Operation Christmas Child is another popular service project organized by staff, parents, and students. Families put together shoe boxes of practical items a child or family can use in an underprivileged country. The Samaritan’s Purse organization ships these boxes for individual children to enjoy. The value and blessing of giving to others in need can last a lifetime.
