Elementary (grades 1-5) at WWCA are self-contained, traditional classrooms. Small classes encourage high teacher/student interaction with consistent proven results as measured by Nationally Standardized tests.
The learning and curriculum at each level is active, challenging, and fun. The curriculum offerings, which meet the educational objectives of the school and the requirements of the State of Connecticut include: math, social studies, science, music, art, physical education, with an emphasis on a strong phonetic approach to reading and language arts. Each class at WWCA has filtered, wireless internet access. Teachers integrate tablet and app. usage that supports curriculum goals.
A special distinctive of the school curriculum includes Bible devotions, Chapel, and daily class prayer. Each morning students read the scripture together and receive a challenge for the day from the Book of Proverbs.
Numerous special activities occur throughout the year to enhance learning. Parents are encouraged to become involved in Field Trips and as classroom volunteers.
