Athletics at WWCA is an integral part in developing the overall character and skill of the individual athlete. The polishing of Christian character traits is often enhanced by experiences that take place during athletic training and competition. Commitment to a team, perseverance, self-sacrifice, self control, focus, self discipline, sportsmanship, and determination are all wonderful traits that can be taught in the crucible of athletic competition.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize?
Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is self controlled in all things. I Corinthians 9: 24-25a.
The WWCA Warriors compete independently among private prep schools, Christian schools and independent schools primarily in Connecticut. Girls’ volleyball and Boys’ soccer are offered in the Fall. The winter season offers basketball to both boys and girls. Sport offerings are dependent on student interest and participation.
